Sue Lewis Design
My jewellery is to be enjoyed and worn frequently for leisure, business and formal events. I design and make mainly one-of-a-kind pieces using traditional workshop tools and techniques, always aiming for the highest quality of workmanship and finish. I choose distinctive and colourful gemstones obtained from reliable dealers who guarantee their provenance, combined with recycled silver and golds and pearls. The colours and characteristics of the materials available to the goldsmith which inspire with a lovely stone very often as the starting point for a design. Plants, gardens and the natural world are passions, as also are the deceptive simplicity of Japanese Zen gardens with their textures of moss and gravel, and a single, perfectly placed rock aiming to control nature I work with private clients and participate in online shows such as Craft Festival, Find a Maker, GNCCF and Craft in Focus.
