We warmly welcome families with children of all ages to The Craft Lab.

Throughout Craft Festival at Cardigan Castle families can enjoy drop in and FREE Children's Workshops in the Craft Lab provided by Llantarnam Grange Arts Centre, National Woollen Museum, Carmarthen School of Art, Coleg Ceredigion, Cered Menter Iaith and Walden Arts. The Craft Lab is located below the Kitchen Garden, next to the Children's Play area. 

Local Schools are visiting on Friday. Saturday and Sunday are drop in. The Craft Lab will close for lunch from 1-2pm. 

Workshops include mini intaglio prints using tetra packsand collagraph techniques using environment cardboard. Children can make prints inspired by the historic buildings of Cardigan and or sea creatures and wildlife from West Wales. Young visitors can enjoy drawn & collaged fairy tales inspired by Clive Hicks-Jenkins retelling of Hansel and Gretel. This is a celebration of Clive’s upcoming exhibition GWRACH | WITCH at Oriel Myrddin Gallery.

There will also be charcoal and pencil mark making, weaving and clay modelling, lego brick modelling, stitching and more.
