Five Favourites at The Contemporary Craft Festival 2017
Brett Payne - Forever a favourite, since I first discovered his work many years ago. Whatever this amazingly versatile designer and craftsman turns his hand to, be it jewellery, candlesticks, vases or vessels, it is always in a class of its own.
Jack Laverick - I've watched this young man develop his work over the past few years, he has a great eye for precision in design and making and an instinctive talent for creating affordable pieces with a wide appeal.
Helaina Sharpley - The first and the most original wire work artist, I am always delighted to see Helaina's work at a show, knowing that she will have new designs to fascinate me, I am absolutely intrigued by her work!
Abigail Leach - We love using handmade ceramics in our home; mugs, jugs, teapots, serving dishes, all made by lots of different potters. So I'm really looking forward to seeing Abigail's fun and colourful range of domestic ware at this year's show.
Adam Cornish - Wood fascinates me, the colours, textures and aromas, for me it is a satisfyingly meditative material in all its forms. In the hands of this skilled craftsman it is transformed into something unique and a pleasure to hold and behold.
